Despite those challenges, the HDR10+ Alliance has already managed to put a lot of momentum behind its format. Its three founder members — Samsung, Panasonic and 20th Century Fox – account for a significant chunk of the hardware industry, while 20th Century Fox (now part of Disney) has an enormous library of movie content that can be shown off with HDR10+.

You can find HDR10+ media on the Amazon Prime Video and Apple TV+ streaming services, as well as on select UHD Blu-ray discs. However, it’s not yet a common feature on Blu-ray players and other media hardware, and the content doesn’t tend to be flagged as being in HDR10+.
